Time for Practice Empty
PostSubject: Time for Practice   Time for Practice EmptyFri Jul 29, 2011 1:57 pm

It was raining. Rainen hated rain. It was ill-fated that the Akatsuki organization he had just recently become a member of was situated in the Rain Country, a place where rain was constant. He could feel his blue hair getting soaked and sticking to his face as his wet cloak wrapped around his body. It made Rainen enter a terrible mood. But he had to be out here to train his new techniques. He walked over to a large stone in the middle of the field he was standing in. Normally he would´ve trained in the Akatsuki training room, but this technique required rock formations to be present. Thus the location had become a large field just outside the base. The stone was roughly the size of a car. Perfect. The Akatsuki member brought his hands together and performed a horse seal quickly followed up by a snake seal. He then placed his palm on the large stone.

For a few seconds, nothing seemed to happen. Then, suddenly, a single cracking sound could be heard. Then, millions of tiny cracks suddenly appeared all around the rock’s surface, forming a web all over the stone. Then, the stone crumbled into countless tiny pieces, most of them no bigger than dust. Rainen smiled, and then turned 180 degrees to face a large rock easily the size of a house, a small mountain so to say. Again he brought his hands together and formed the two necessary seals.

”Doton: Hokori Kara Hokori Made!”(Earth Release: Dust to Dust)

A small silence, and suddenly the same happened to the mountain. The large rock crumbled in front of the much smaller man and fell to the ground in dust. A certain kind of smug glee filled Rainen, but it was quickly replaced by a feeling of fatigue as he instantly fell on his knees. He was starting to feel lightheaded, and the word spun around him. He started panting. Destroying the rock had depleted much of his chakra to the point where he could barely stand. Using this technique in battle was risky. After a few seconds kneeling in the wet grass, Rainen climbed to his feet and started walking back to the base close by. He would need to rest until tomorrow before he could practice his other techniques.

Time for Practice Empty
PostSubject: Re: Time for Practice   Time for Practice EmptyFri Jul 29, 2011 2:17 pm

Day two, and Rainen´s cloak had dried, much to the young man´s gratefulness. He entered the large training room, his footsteps echoing across the large room. It was an empty, large arena. More than enough room to play. Rainen chuckled and walked over to the far end of the room. There, locked away inside a prison with a chakra-suppressing tag on his forehead, was a middle-aged man with an Iwa headband around his forehead. He looked up as Rainen opened the cell door.

”Well, aint you lucky? You’ve been chosen to become a guinea pig to test the future Tsuchikage’s power! Don’t worry, you’re death will benefit the Earth Country!”

Rainen spoke in a rather patronizing voice as he ripped the tag from the man’s forehead. The man, his chakra streaming through his body again, instantly charged at Rainen, launching a powerful punch at the Akatsuki member. Rainen quickly jumped back as the man’s fist collided with the ground, ripping up stones and creating a large crater surrounding the wall.

”Oi! Don’t make a mess, you dumbass! I’m going to have to clean up any mess you make, you stupid pig!”

The man threw himself at Rainen again, this time attempting to behead him with a powerful jab from his elbow. With strength like his, it was very much possible if he would hit. Sadly he didn’t, and this time Rainen was left with enough time to jump until his entire body was about a centimeter above the elbow. Then, he used the elbow as a foothold to jump yet again, making hand seals in the process. He was now a good three meters above the man, and his seals were just about done. Suddenly, the air around Rainen began to stir and shape into countless shuriken made of extremely dense, compressed air. Then, the shuriken dived down upon the man, sinking into the flesh of his arms, shoulders, torso, legs and face. The man let out a single groan, being angry at himself for having failed to kill the traitor who had attacked the Tsuchikage. Then, he fell over. Dead.

Rainen landed on the ground next to him, discontent on his face. ”Tch. Ungrateful bastard! Be goddamn grateful you managed to be of use to your master, yeah?!”

And he dragged the man’s corpse to a small room next to the training room. This room had a large window looking out over a deep river. The young man opened the window and threw the man into the water below. The blood and crater would have to be cleaned up later. Now it was time to move on.

Now that the man’s corpse had been disposed of, it was time for the second technique and the strongest of the ones he had developed. It was an A-rank technique requiring rather precise chakra control. It would be an easy task for a medic, but Rainen was no medic. Thus he doubted that he would be able to maintain the shape of the technique for long. Even considering he had mastered the Rasengan, a technique that required great skill and concentration when it came to chakra manipulation , this technique also added element manipulation to the table. Therefore, he would first practice it without opponents.

He started by focusing chakra into the shaft of his scythe. Quickly, the pole began to rapidly grow in length, coiling through the air as a flexible snake until it had reached the length of ten meters. He whipped the scythe a few times, allowing the blade to shoot forward as a snake just to demonstrate his power to the remaining prisoners watching from their cages. Then, he started the jutsu. First, he channeled a large amount of wind chakra through the long pole all the way to the blade. Luckily the rare, chakra-absorbing metals of which the sickle was made drew the chakra onto them, making the task much easier. Then, he forcefully unleashed the chakra from his scythe while trying to maintain it. A large sphere of compressed wind formed around the sphere, having the appearance of a Rasengan, but with a white-grey color and the ability to crush with air pressure rather than grind.

However, before he could swing around the ball, using the pole as a chain, the ball dispersed into thin air once again. Rainen let out a few curses at his failure. He would need to put more effort into maintaining the shape. He took a moment to breathe deeply, catching his breath, before he started again. This time, the orb appeared quicker, and while Rainen could not manipulate the flexible pole’s trajectory with chakra like he usually could, he succeeded into maintaining the ball for five whole seconds. Enough to give the now whip-like scythe a few good, powerful swings before it diminished.

Now things would get real. Wiping some sweat from his forehead, Rainen unleashed four more prisoners. These were mere genin to fresh chuunin when they were captured, and on their own would be no match for the Akatsuki member. Immediately, the fools cropped together rather than spreading, making Rainen’s task much easier. They all started to perform hand seals, apparently desperate to finish some powerful combo attack. But Rainen was faster. When they were halfway, the shadow of the large ball was already above them, and by pulling the rest of the pole downwards, Rainen sent the sphere crushing down on the genin. The impact of the ball created yet a second crater, and the bodies of the four shinobi were mangled and broken. Needless to say they were dead.

Tired but satisfied, Rainen threw the four corpses into the river in which the corpse of the man had disappeared earlier. Food for the fishes. Now he would have to do something about those damn craters. Performing a snake seal, Rainen simply slammed the ground with his palm, making the cracks and holes in the floor close up. In a moment’s notice, the rocky ground was smooth once again. Rainen cracked his knuckles. Soon he and his partner would start hunting Bijuu across the shinobi countries. His jutsu would definitely come in handy when fighting the hosts, better known as the Jinjuurichi. Then, he would use their power to take over Iwagakure and finally take his rightful place on the throne. And then, the Akatsuki’s jackass leader would pay for daring to threaten him. He could also take over Amegakure while he would be at it! The whole country would have to pay for Saruno’s mistake. Insolent bastard!
