A Spar between the Mizukage and the Raikage

As Revy made her way down the streets, she slowly approached large open misty fields, of which were the Kirigakure Training fields. Large open fields where Shinobi may travel to, to practice their dangerous techniques, isolated away from others, so they don't bring harm their way by accident. A good place to spar as well. The fields had a fresh layer of grass on them, right above a soft, yet sturdy dirt. A light mist was visible in the distance, in all directions, and the village looked like a silhouette in a way, when hidden in the mist. There was a wooden fence that closed the dirt path in, that led on throughout the island, but came to a quick stop, as the island was built somewhat like a maze, and a path would make it to easy.

Revy made her way to these fields, with her sword on her back, and once she got them, she stopped for a moment, to see if the Raikage had followed her, or got lost somewhere behind. She was a little embarrassed from her clumsiness in her office still, so for the walk there she hadn't looked back to see if they had been following or not. After doing so, Revy made her way through these fields, walking just a short distance until she was far enough into the large fields to where there was enough room for battle. After doing so, Revy turned around, and fell back onto the grass, sitting down with her legs straight out.

Makai strolled through the streets of Kirigakure following the young Mizukage to the designated training grounds. Makai looked around as they arrived as a large open misty field. Makai's eyes narrowed as he looked around the field it was quite isolated, that was good he didn't want to accidently hurt somebody. Makai's feet impacted against the fresh soft grass as he walked along the training field. Revy had made her way across the fields walking just a short distance until she was far enough into the fields to give them both enough room to spar. Makai could see her from the distance as she fell back onto the grass sitting down with her legs straight out. Makai walked up to her and impaled his sword into the ground. He stood just a few feet away from her as he stood there calmly.

"How do you..cough...wish to conduct...cough...this spar. First to...cough...draw blood or...cough...the first to force....cough...their opponent....cough...into submission" coughed out Makai as he leaned against his sword eyeing the Mizukage carefully.

As Revy sat there in the grass, she noticed the Raikage approaching her, and had to tilt her head all the way back in order to see the tall man when he stood in front of her. He had stabbed his sword into the ground, and leaned on it. Which either had shown a dight of fatigue coming form him, or he simply did it to bring his face a little closer to the Mizukage who was already short, but was now sitting down on the grass. With her feet straight out, off to each side slightly, she twisted her legs back and forth just relaxing a little. The Raikage asked how she wanted to conduct this spar. That of which didn't matter to her. Usually, the way of the Shinobi was that if you are going to show your true abilities, you must attack with the intention of killing. Otherwise, it would be like pulling your punches every shot. After sitting there for a moment, thinking, she looked back up at the Raikage. "I don't know...you choose.." She replied with, leaving the choice up to the Raikage.

She remained seeted for now, and wondered what the Railkage himself was capable of, in his sickly condition. She had also wondered whether he;d use that eye of his or not.

The raikage grinnestood their for a moment thinking slightly before looking at her. Makai breathed in and formed a half ram seal channelling chakra into his eyes, "Kikan Meimugan" mumbled the Raikage. His eyes transformed resembling the eyes he had given the Mizukage. The only difference was his eye held six dark blue tomoe with a straight line connecting the tomoe to the pupil. The circle arund the pupil began to spin causing the tomes to rotate. Makai grabbed his katana and removed it from the earths soil. He jumped back to create some distance between him and the Mizukage, "We'll do...cough...either first to...cough...draw blood or..cough...force the other...cough...into Submission. Don't hold...cough...back Mizukage-dono....cough...come at me with...cough...the intent to kill" spoke Makai.

He slowly settled into a stance holding his sword in a reverse grip in front of him. His left hand was position over his second katana ready to draw it at any moment. His stance was flawless as he had settled into a stance that covered most of his blind spots. However he had purposely left an opening on his left side at his shoulder blade wondering if the Mizukage would fall for it.

Revy stood up, and watched the Raikage as he took his stance. She knew his stance rather well, a stance where one covered their blind and weak spots by using both swords as a way to counter from any attack around the body. Though, he hadn't drawn his left blade yet, meaning there was still an opening. If one attacked fast enough, they'd be able to cut in faster then the blade could be drawn. But It was obviously no amateur mistake, as this man is the Raikage. Not a student in Kenjutsu. She decided rather then jumping into her Ninjutsu, she'd just use her Kenjutsu for now, to see how skilled her opponent was with his swords. She placed her hand on the handle of her sword, and took a basic Kenjutsu stance. Rather then taking the opening, and attacking his open spot, she decided to wait, and see what eh was truly capable of, instead of rushing in the first moment she got.

Sliding one leg back slightly, and drawing the Habaki (blade collar) just outside of the scabbard, allowing for a much faster release while the collar of the sword is outside of the scabbard.

Makai stood their calmly watching the Mizukage as she stood up. He watched as she placed a handle on her sword taking the basic Kenjutsu stance and stood there waiting. His eyes narrowed as she slid one leg back drawing the Habaki or blade colour of her sword just outside of the scabbard. Makai slowly twirled his drawn Katana placing it into its sheath with a loud clicking sound. Slowly he placed his hand on the handle of his four foot seven inch long katana in the orange scabbard. He slowly shut his eyes as he settled into a basic sword drawing stance crouching while leaning forward slightly. He pushed off with his legs and sped towards the Mizukage his speed easily that of a Jounin level nin. As he got in closer a click was heard as his thumb pushing the collar of his sword up. He grabbed the hilt channelling his fire nature chakra through the blade.

He began to draw his sword rapidly the blade connecting with the metal ring at the top of his scabbard. Metal grinded against metal as sparks flew from his blade. His blade aimed to strike at her on a horizontal slash from left to right. As he swung it his chakra acted as fuel and heat from the grinding of the two metals and his fire nature combined with the oxygen in the air caused his katana to be engulfed in bright orange, yellow and red flames. As the flames engulfed his blade he channelled his wind nature through his sword. The flames rose extending his blade by another five inches making it five foot two inches in length thanks to the wind enhanced flames. If she tried to block his strike if she hit the extended flames the flames would merely pass through the blade and reform to burn her on the other side. If she blocked the metal she'd have to worry about the extra five inches of wind enhanced flames.

Watching as the Raikage charged her, Revy quickly readied herself to react. She heard the scraping from him drawing his sword from the scabbard, and noticed the sparks, and shortly later, the sword ignite into flames. Maneuvering quickly, rather then parrying and counterattacking, she was forced to jump back due to the fact that she knows flames can stray from the blade holding them, and she wouldn't take quite a risk yet. Revy jumped back avoiding the blade, as well as the extension build by the wind chakra, which she hadn't yet noticed. Only moments after, she caught herself while sliding back, and disappeared for a moment. She was moving at a very fast speed, though not as fast as she could actually move.

Revy appeared within a split second at the side of the Raikage, where his attack had came from; his left. By the time she had reached him, her sword was already halfway drawn. Revy drew the last half bit of the sword, whipping it to the ground, and skidding the tip of the blade through the ground as she launched an swing from right to left, at the side of which his attack had come from. She attacked in a diagonal motion, from ground to air with her 4 ft (48 inch) long blade. The length of the sword was nearly as tall as Revy, thus, in order to draw her sword properly from her back, parts of the scabbard were made of a simple cloth, which was ripped during the drawing procedure. This blade was entitled "Yata No Kagami". The moment the sword had been drawn, Revy funneled a bit of chakra through the handle into it, which had turned the blade transparent. While the sword is transparent, it is much harder to see, and nearly impossible to see while in a moving motion. If the Raikage had underestimated the length or direction of this blade before she had launched her attack, she was sure to hit.

Makai's eyes spun as she jumped back avoiding the blade. His eyes watched as she slid back before she disappeared, his eyes tracking her catching each movement. He was already anticipating her movements by the way she moved as she targeted his left side. His right foot dug into the ground as he continued to swing his flaming blade using the momentum of his swing to spin him around. His body began to spin as she got within range of him. He was already in half spin as she drew the last bit of her sword. She skidded the tip of the blade through the ground from right to left as she attacked in a diagonal motion. His eyes watching estimating the blade to be about four foot in length. The blade became transparent as Makai spun around. His flaming sword came around a trail of fire forming in mid air as he swung around dirt being thrown into the air as his foot twisted. The end of his sleeve connected with her transparent sword the metal in the sleeve grinding against the blade of her sword as the metal in his sleeve connected to the blade of his sword.

The flames vanished as metal collided with metal. He stood their calmly as his sword blocked against hers. His eyes bearing down upon her. Makai stood his ground as he defended against the Mizukage's sword. He could feel pressure on a single point of his he dug his feet in. He bent his knees slowly lowering his sword and pushed back leaping backwards. Makai skidded across the dirt his hand hitting the grass his fingers digging into the earth to stop himself. Makai looked up his Doujutsu spinning rapidly.

Makai stabbed his sword in the ground and went through the hand seals tiger, rat and boar and raised his left hand his index and middle finger aimed at the Mizukage, "Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes)!" He channelled his chakra through the tips of his fingers as a yellow snaking rope shot from his finger tips. The yellow rope of chakra flew through the air as five more joined it. The ropes shot forward aiming to wrap around the Mizukage's upper torso and constrict to bind her body.

As Revy swung at the Raikage, he parried with ease, then forced her sword back. Forcing her sword back wasn't a hard thing to do, as she was a master with control of momentum, but her strength lacked highly compared to some others. The Raikage would most likely easily beat her in a battle of strength, though Revy had her tricks, and her sudden bursts if needed. After pushing her sword back, Revy formed a single hand seal, then released it just as the Raikage lept back, and stabbed his sword into the ground. That of which was most likely to free his hand in order to perform a Jutsu. And of course, it was, as he casted a Fuuinjutsu which created ropes that shot towards Revy from the tips of his finger. The moment the Raikage had jumped back, Revy noticed him stab his sword into the soft soil on the ground, and cast a Jutsu. Instead of immediately reacting to the Jutsu he had used, she instead used the time to launch an attack of her own. The moment the Raikage began casting hand seals, Revy flipped her sword around quickly in her left hand, so it was crossed along her back, though she still held it in her hand. This was to create a stance where if needed, she could release the sword, and it would remain on her back using it's weight to hold it in place, as well as a bit of balance. As she did so, she immediately slammed her fist on the ground, getting on one knee while doing so. The impact between her fist and the ground created a hole, but the lightning chakra that had surged through the moist ground only made it even bigger as the ground around her fist cratered in. Upon slamming her fist on the ground, a static wave of lightning was launched from her fist on the ground, that torw and ripped through the ground as it made it's way towards the Raikage, at a 90 degree angle in size. It continuously extended in size as it approached the current location of the Raikage, and covered a lot of ground once it had reached him. The point of this wasn't to directly hit the Raikage, but if lucky, it would. The main use of this was to get the Raikage to reach for his sword, and with the static that would travel up his sword, if he was holding it, would shock him, if he grabbed it before the wave reached it, that is.

If the Raikage had abandoned the sword, to avoid the attack, or couldn't reach for it as he channeled the ropes from his fingers which was attempting to wrap around Revy, the sword would be launched through the air, and somewhere rather far, as well as sending a wave of static through the blade of the sword. So if the Raikage had retrieved the blade, or caught it, it would give him a taste of the after shock left behind on the blade who would have been hit with the full effect of the Jutsu, being that it is stabbed into the ground.

Just after doing so, Revy would need to react immediately to the ropes that are now closing in on her, attempting to wrap around her. Because the lightning technique she had just performed, known as Hibana Shuuha hadn't required hand seals, she was given more time to react to the ropes after launching the attack. Using her speed, she immediately strung together a few hand seals, and a thick bolt of lightning struck the ground beside her, and left behind a clone of Revy, that had static swirling around it for a moment, just before the static had disappeared, and mimicked Revy completely, as well as on one knee, with her sword balanced against it's back. Turning her speed up a notch, Revy gripped her sword once more,and lowered her head slightly, then kicking her foot off the ground quickly, moving around the ropes that had just now passed by her. She ran along the right side of Hibana Shuuha, while the clone ran along the left side. With their quick speed, they easily caught up to the opposing end of it, and made sure they ran at an angle, making sure not to run into the attack itself. This of course, created even more distance between Revy and her clone, with the Raikage directly in the center of the two as Hibana Shuuha had reached him only moments later. Just then, a powerful rain began to pour down from the sky. This being from the single seal Revy had created just after the parry. As the rain poured down on Hibana Shuuha, it gave off a loud static sound every time a drop of water came into contact with the surging lightning.

Standing in the rain, on each side of the Raikage, awaiting for a reaction to their Lightning attack, the two Revy's began slowly stringing hand seals together, but doing it at an unusually slow speed, and muttering the name of the seals just under their breath as they had performed them, just after placing their sword under their arm, and clenching it between their side and their arm. As they performed the seals, water began to string together in the air, and form a net made of thick water that would drop directly on the Raikage's location, or block him from jumping directly up. If this net had fallen on the Raikage, it would only empower the effects of Hibana Shuuha, making an even more powerful surge of lightning hit him. As the rain came into contact with the Lightning Clone, a static shock sound was made each time, like a zap for each raindrop.

And with this move, Revy's true nature was shown. Not only was she the Mizukage, she was also a fabled "Rain Ninja". Not an ordinary Rain Ninja, but one rumored to be able to manipulate the very existence of water, and even replicate things as powerful as rain storms. Those of which were rumored to not exist, but in rumors and legends, originated from Amegakure. Revy's birthplace.

Makai watched the Mizukage carefully as the yellow rope shot through the air. The Mizukage flipped her sword with her left hand so it crossed along back still held it in her hand. She slammed her fist onto the ground creating a hole lightning chakra surging through the moist ground. He watched as a wave of lightning launched from her fist on the ground releasing itself in a 90 degree angle in size expanding rapidly in size. His eyes carefully watched Revy as he went into a crouched position. His fellow Kage had performed a series of hand seals rapidly his Doujutsu keeping track a sa bolt of lightning struck the ground beside her creating a clone. His eyes caught the Mizukage's movements as she kicked off the ground moving around the ropes and towards him from the right.

As Makai ran his sword was struck by the oncoming lightning wave electricty coursing through it as the blade was propelled out of the ground. The Katana spun through the air landing away from the spar between the two imbedding itself in a tree roughly fifty metres away.

Makai turned quickly staying around as he spun around cutting his flow of chakra off from his left hand making the rope detach and fall to the ground. He would leave his sword be for now. He pumped his chakra to his feet and kicked off using his chakra to reach max peak. His eyes began to twirl as he looked to his side. Makai’s eyes caught signs of rain droplets as they fell around him. As he ran he rapidly started to through a set of hand seals for another fuuinjutsu, "Shokyoku: Shiryū ((First Song: Halting Fabric)!" mumbled Makai as his chakra erupted from his body. The chakra spiralled around Makai as the chakra took the form of silk white fabric. A massive sheet appeared above Makai floating in the air as it began to fall.

The Raikage formed a single seal as he ran peering off to the left, "Nikyoku: Hyakurensan (Second Song: Hundred Linked Bolts)!" His chakra began to move from his body becoming visible as multiple iron nails at least three feet in length appeared in mid air. The nails shot off into the air digging into the silk fabric causing it to stretch and launch itself up into the air protecting Makai from the rain pouring down upon the battle field.

Makai skidded across the ground turning in mid dash as he placed a hand on his odachi drawing it wind chakra encasing the blade as he slashed downwards with a powerful slash, "Kanshiki ken no Jutsu: Ichiban no Mai: Lull (Judgement Sword Technique: First Dance: Lull)!" He channelled his wind nature chakra through the blade empowering it with his wind chakra to raise its strength from a C level technique to rival that of an A level Futon Jutsu. A large gust of wind shot from the blade thousands of tiny wind blades inside as it cut through the ground debris flying everywhere. as the wind struck the incoming lightning to split in half forcing it to spread around him.

Makai stared waiting patiently only to looking up turning to his side as his escorts appeared in four puffs of smoke. Makai formed a hand seal going up in a swirl of black cherry blossoms appearing directly in front of them as they handed him a scroll. He opened the scroll raising an eyebrow what did the council want now. He sighed and shouted out to the Mizukage, 'I'd love to stay. But i have business to attend to." He coughed into his palm as he vanished in a swirl of black cherry blossoms followed by his Jounin who vanished in puffs of smoke.

Takeshi appeared in a puff of smoke by the tree Makai's katana had imbedded itself in. He pulled out a pair of rubber gloves using them to grab the electrically sharged sword an vanish in another puff of smoke with the sword.

Revy, as well as her clone who were slowly string hand seals together as the water of net formed above, watch as the Raikage did his little trick in order to avoid the attacks. He had abandoned his sword in order to keep from taking a hit. His sword of which, was launched through the air and lunged itself somewhere most likely in a tree, far off. Revy and the clone stopped their hand seals, and watched as the Raikage had rushed off after his assistants had suddenly shown up. It looked like he was in a rush, so Revy didn't bother stopping him, though it was a little weird to her. As Hibina Shuuha still surged through the ground, her net of water fell on it, though she was somewhat zoned out, with her hands still together in front of her stomach, though not in any seals. The expression on her face was a somewhat curious expression, with her mouth open slightly, as she turned her head watching as the Raikage had ran off. She had a slight look of disappointment on her face, mixed with a look of loneliness, as she watched the Raikage leave. The lightning began clearing up, and the molded water let loose, creating a large puddle on the ground, from the net.

After things settled a little, the clone approached Revy, and stood to her side. The clone felt somewhat dizzy, and her sight was a little blurry. "R--revy..are you..alright?" The clone asked while holding her own forehead. Being a clone, it felt anything naturally caused that Revy felt, such as sickness or an upset stomach. In this case, what the clone was feeling was over-exhaustion. Exactly what Revy is feeling. One of the reasons Revy asked if the Raikage would rather wait, and rest up, was because she herself wasn't feeling to well that day, and was worn out, after having not slept for a long time, excluding the short nap she took right before the Raikage had arrived. Revy nodded her head, while holding her hand against her forehead, partially covering her left eye. The rain lightened up a little, though there was still a small drizzle, and Revy made her way back to Kirigakure slowly, with her clone behind her.
